We are very quickly approaching the delivery date of the first 35 units of the Gold Coast community.
This delivery is a major milestone and we are very excited to welcome our first owners to their new home. While we have faced several challenges, we have successfully persevered in our effort to deliver quality residences in what will soon be considered one of Aruba's prime addresses.
At the same time, we are very pleased to announce the appointment of one of Aruba's most well known tourism professionals as General Manager for the Gold Coast resort community.
Mr. Ed Malone has been an integral part of Aruba's hospitality and tourism industry for 21 years and we are thrilled that he has accepted the responsibilities to operate your resort community. He brings a wealth of experience in all facets of resort operations and as well has an extensive background in resort and destination sales and marketing.
Mr. Malone has been recognized on 2 occasions as Aruba's General Manager of the Year and also as Caribbean Hotelier of the Year in 1996. These prestigious recognitions are testament to his professionalism, career success and commitment to the tourism and hospitality industry in Aruba and throughout the region. In recent years, he has become an advocate for development of expanded tourism and hospitality education curriculum and has been an instructor for Human Resource management at Aruba's hospitality trades school.
Mr. Malone's initial responsibilities include the development of the Rental Program and Sales and Marketing plan for the rental program for both our owners and potential visitors. He will be fully responsible for the overall community operations and be intricately involved in all aspects of the project as we expand our completion of town homes, villas and resort facilities.
Mr. Malone will assume his responsibilities effective April 1, 2008 and soon thereafter will maintain an office on property.
We are very confident that with Mr. Malone's expertise, background and reputation, the future success of Gold Coast is assured.
